Lego Pinhole Camera Stills
This series of five distinct stills captures common landscapes yet, through ambiguity and obstruction of clarity, alters the atmosphere and narrative of the environments.
The camera itself was created using Lego bricks, lined with black card stock and seams reinforced with black masking tape. The pinhole aperture (created using a pin prick through a special matte black foil) was placed inside the camera front, where it was covered by a removable lens cap – also made from Lego. The exposure times for each image ranged anywhere from 30 seconds, to 10 minutes.
