This simplistic decorative clock is a juxtaposition of the aesthetics of modern decor with those of rustic decor. The square base of the clock is a reflection of the geometric and simplistic nature of modern style, yet the wooded material communicates a rustic appeal. The small clock hands, with no numbers further conveys a more modern intrigue. The pendulum, however is more indicative of an older, rustic piece of clockwork. Finally, the realistic depiction of a deer head on the bottom left corner brings out the rustic feeling within the piece and adds a point of interest that is both aesthetically pleasing for its contribution to the rustic theme and for its detail.
