Chinese Guardian Lion Wooden Statue Texture Detail

Upon completing a successful sketching trip to the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Alberta, I created a detailed graphite rendering depicting the texture of one of my favourite pieces from the trip.

Below is a reference image of the statue, the above detail being taking from the head area, specifically between the corner of the mouth to the tip of the ear.
