Ranunculus of Phantasmic Blue, Ahsha Cosplay

This cosplay was created and worn, by myself during Otafest 2018.

The bodysuit, sewn from a synthetic fabric, had the designs painted on using a fabric ink to create a ‘printed on’ illusion within the swirls and patterns. The bodysuit was built over a bra/ wire frame and attached to a separate bottom piece using Velcro to secure the two pieces together. Shoes were created by sewing the insoles of an old pair of runners into the bottom of a knee high sock, creating a skin tight, yet durable and functional shoe. The head piece, created using standard craft foam, was shaped using a Dremel, finished, then spray painted; the green crystal inserts added at the end (thick plastic sheet painted with green transparent Modge Podge). The flowers are all hand sewn tulle on a felt base.
