The Cambrian Revival
and the creatures it held…
On April 10th, 2019 I traveled out to Emerald Lake, at the base of Mount Burgess. Here was displayed a series of Cambrian creatures, reincarnated in glass in the place of their origin. The exhibition invited viewer to stumble upon these creatures and acknowledge the historical fauna that were so fundamental in forming lifeforms as we currently know. The creatures, dispersed among the brush created a flourishing life-like scene that caused for the audience to reflect on the wonder and significance of the Cambrian Explosion and form appreciation for the location of their discovery.
The pieces were later displayed through a separate presentation with the images taken from the event.
